While some familiarity with aerial arts or yoga is beneficial, it's
not strictly required for passionate beginners. We recommend at
least 6 months of regular yoga practice. The training is
designed to build skills progressively. However, to teach Aerial
Yoga, a prior Yoga Teacher Training or Pilates certification is a
prerequisite (or equivalent experience, assessed case-by-case).
You will learn fundamental aerial yoga postures and sequences, safe
and effective use of aerial silks/hammocks, techniques for guiding
students of all levels, relevant anatomy and physiology, how to
create engaging aerial classes, and adaptations of traditional
asanas for the aerial hammock.
Yes, our Aerial Yoga Teacher Training is Yoga Alliance accredited as
a Continuing Education Program (YACEP). Upon successful completion
and passing of exams, you will receive a certificate that can be
used for continuing education credits with Yoga Alliance.
Tuition includes all aerial yoga classes, workshops, the training
manual, and your certificate. Accommodation packages include your
selected room type for 6 nights, 2 daily vegan and Ayurvedic meals,
daily yoga/meditation, pranayama, educational workshops, and access
to retreat facilities. Please refer to the pricing tables on the
main page for complete details.
Deposits are non-refundable. However, they can be transferred to a
future Aerial Yoga Teacher Training course within 1 year, or applied
to another similar program we offer. You can find more details in
the payment section on the training page.
We recommend comfortable, form-fitting yoga clothes (avoid zippers
or anything that could snag the fabric), a reusable water bottle, a
journal, and any personal items. It's also good to bring clothing
that covers your armpits and knees for certain poses. A detailed
welcome packet with a full packing list will be sent after
registration.
Aerial yoga is accessible to many, but there are some
contraindications, such as pregnancy (after first trimester unless
experienced), glaucoma, recent surgery, heart disease, very high or
low blood pressure, vertigo, or carpal tunnel syndrome. Please
consult your doctor if you have any concerns. We require you to be
physically fit to handle the demands of the training.
Upon successful completion of the course and exams, you will receive
a certificate qualifying you to teach aerial yoga. For those wishing
to register these hours with Yoga Alliance as Continuing Education,
you must already hold a 200-hour (or higher) RYT certification.
We use professional-grade aerial yoga hammocks/silks, rigging, and
carabiners. All necessary equipment will be provided for you during
the training. We will also cover equipment safety, setup, and
maintenance.
