Our Sacred Moon Ceremonies, held under the potent skies of both the New and Full Moon, are an invitation to align with these natural rhythms, deepen your self-awareness, and connect with a supportive community.
Each ceremony is a unique, co-created experience designed to honor the specific energies of the lunar phase. We gather in a sacred space at the Hari OM Yoga Ashram in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, creating an intimate container for healing, joy, and holistic living.
Your Ceremonial Journey
1. Embodiment: Yoga & Movement
We begin by gently awakening the body and centering the mind with a mindful Hatha or Vinyasa yoga practice. This warm-up prepares your physical vessel to receive and integrate the energies of the ceremony, enhancing your connection to the present moment.
2. Energetic Activation: Breathwork or Dance
Next, we dive deeper into energetic alignment. Depending on the specific ceremony and lunar phase, this segment may involve:
- Transformative Breathwork/Kundalini Session: Powerful breathing techniques to clear energetic blockages, expand consciousness, and awaken your vital life force.
- Ecstatic Dance (Occasional): A liberating journey of free-form movement, allowing you to express, release, and connect with your primal energy and joy in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
3. Sacred Ritual: Cacao or Tea Ceremony
At the heart of our gathering lies the sacred ritual:
- Full Moon: Cacao Ceremony. We share ceremonial-grade cacao, a heart-opening plant medicine, to deepen our connection to ourselves, each other, and the expansive energy of the full moon, fostering gratitude and illumination.
- New Moon: Tea Ceremony. We partake in a mindful tea ceremony with specially selected herbal infusions, creating a space for quiet reflection, intention setting, and planting seeds for the new moon cycle.
4. Nourishment: Communal Vegan Dinner
We conclude our ceremony by sharing a delicious and lovingly prepared vegan dinner. This communal meal offers a chance to ground, integrate the experience, and connect with fellow participants in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. All food is included in your pass.
The entire ceremony and dinner typically lasts around 2.5 - 3 hours, with the core ceremony being about 1.5 hours.
Who Is This For?
Everyone is welcome! Our Sacred Moon Ceremonies are open to all individuals, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, spiritual beliefs, or previous experience with yoga or ceremony. The only requirement is an open heart and a respectful willingness to receive and share in the energy of the gathering.
Sacred Attire & Preparation
To enhance the ceremonial atmosphere and facilitate the flow of energy, we gently recommend wearing comfortable clothing, perhaps with a "sacred" or intentional theme – something that makes you feel connected and reverent. White or light colors are often favored for moon ceremonies.
Important: Our Stance on Intoxicants
To maintain the purity and integrity of the sacred space and the collective energy, we strictly do not permit the use of alcohol, recreational drugs, or any hallucinogenic substances during or prior to any of our ceremonies or events. These substances can diminish the clarity of the experience and are counterproductive to the deep inner work we aim to facilitate. Any person found to be under the influence or exhibiting disruptive behavior will be asked to leave the premises without a refund. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in co-creating a clear, conscious, and respectful environment for all.
